Dining on the River
Summer’s here, and it’s about time you got down to the river

By Greg Sabin

Pearl on the RiverOne of the treats of a Sacramento summer is watching the world float by on the Sacramento River. In my mind, there’s no better way to enjoy the river—other than putting on a pair of trunks and jumping in—than grabbing a seat at one of the many restaurants along the riverbank and sipping on a cocktail or tucking

By Greg Sabin

The Fire Burger is one of the more popular items on the menu at Gatsby's DinerMy friends Chris and Mel just wouldn’t let up. They kept extolling the virtues of a strange little restaurant in the Arden area. The place featured hamburgers and diner fare and, said the two, delivered all of it with a sophisticated flair that belied the humble contents of the menu.
